Essey's opals is dedicated to selling only authentic, Australian opal with their jewellery designed and created in Hobart, Tasmania and set in precious silver, gold and platinum.
They are a family business, buying their opal direct from opal miners in Lightning Ridge, NSW, as well as Coober Pedy, South Australia and all over the Queensland opal fields, including Yowah, Koroit, Quilpie, Winton and more. Cutting their own opal, they support the opal industry in Australia. Considering that Australian opal is a precious gem on a par with diamonds, sapphires and rubies, Essey's Opals at Salamanca have great prices due to lower overheads than commercial jewellery shops, only operating out of the Salamanca Market in Hobart.
