I love Tasmania and we moved here from Brisbane, but could not find any suitable jobs. We got a stall at Salamanca market with my sewing skills and really got support from the market and customers from all over the world. Saturday has become our favourite day of the week and we turn up to the market rain, hail or shine. Talking to and serving people from all over the world, and best of all we make our living here.

I design and make flowy clothing for mums & dads and fabric patchwork soft toys for kids. Locals even bring their clothes in for alterations and pick up the following Saturday. Salamanca market has really been a high light of our life. We enjoy trading at the market every week.
