Zemenay Cuisine prepare their food in the traditional way, ensuring an authentic Ethiopian experience is obtained, from the spongy injera flat bread, to the aromatic spices, and Tasmanian locally produced ingredients. Their menus includes vegetarian, vegan & gluten free options and they do not add sugar to any of their dishes.

You will find:

  • Dero Wet (chicken) or Key Wet (beef) which is an onion-based chicken stew from Ethiopia.
  • Shiro, is a ground chickpea stew served with injera or rice from Ethiopia
  • Sambusa, is samosa filled with ground beef or vegetables is a well known Eastern African cuisine.
  •  Ful is a shahan or fava bean dish, served with bread, from Eastern Africa.
